He also participated during the very first conduct around the world of the JCI Admin Course held in Melbourne last April 2007 by JCI Sen. Karen Smythe (ITF) and JCI Sen. Andrew Norman (CNT), both Past National Presidents of JCI Australia. Furthermore, he flew to Wollongong in New South Wales last May 2007 to participate in the pilot course of JCI Speaker and JCI Presenter by JCI Sen. Karen and JCI Sen. Andrew, which was the first session around the world and subsequently launched during the JCI ASPAC in Taiwan. He is now eligible as Assistant Coach to the JCI Admin, JCI Speaker, and JCI Presenter courses.
An active trainer himself as a current Certified National Trainor (CNT), JCI Don is working on earning his international hours. He will be conducting some modules in an assistant coach capacity during the JCI Trainer (replacement of the PRIME seminar) in August 18-19, 2007 for JCI Australia in Wollongong. He has applied for a training spot with JCI University for the JCI World Congress in Antalya, Turkey being one of the few Filipinos to do so in the world stage. His proposed course "Being the Best JCI Member You Can Be" is a testament of his learnings as the one of the youngest JCI Senators in the Philippines, JCI Philippines Most Outstanding Member 2006, JCI Asia Pacific Most Oustanding Member 2006, and JCI World Congress First Timer's Award 2006.
JCI Sen.
Don is currently based in Melbourne City where he is an active supporter of organizations such as Greenpeace and WorldVision. He had the opportunity to attend a talk by the Dalai Lama and gain exposure to organizations like Brahma Kumaris and meet new friends who share the same mission and vision as JCI. Back at Makati, he has been recognized in July 2007 as one of the junior senators by the JCI Makati Senate.
